Intellectual Property Rights Department in Justice Ministry
In light of the fact that the Ministry of Justice is in charge of policymaking and coordination on the intellectual property front, the Department of Intellectual Property Rights was set up in the first half of 2015 to help advance the cause of the ministry, create order and establish interaction between government agencies. The department has two directorates general: the Office for Planning, Coordination and Support for Industrial Property, Traditional Knowledge and Genetic Resources; and the Office for Planning, Coordination and Support for Literary, Artistic Property and Folklore. The department also supervises the Secretariat of the National Council of Policymaking and Coordination on Intellectual Property between Executive Bodies.
