Seyyed Alireza Avaei

 Seyyed Alireza Avaei is a prominent Iranian judge and politician born in Dezful on May 20, 1956. During a confirmation hearing on August 20, 2017, as many as 244 members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly voted in favor of him becoming the justice minister of the 12th government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Seyyed Alireza Avaei is among the most prominent judges of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and a founding member and chairman of the board of trustees of the Association of Fundamental Legal Studies, the first national civil institution in the legal system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
